Copyright claims on YouTube videos
If you see a copyright claim on your video after uploading it to YouTube, this is usually related to Content ID – an automatic content recognition system.

A Content ID claim does not mean that you violated copyright laws.
It means the system has matched a part of your video (usually audio) with the content registered by a copyright holder.
Common symptoms
You may notice one or more of the following:
  • a copyright claim appears shortly after upload
  • the claim is related to background music
  • the video is blocked or monetized by a third party
  • the track was added from Movavi’s built-in music library
Why this happens
Content ID works automatically and may sometimes:
  • incorrectly identify royalty-free music
  • flag licensed tracks used legally
  • match short fragments or altered audio

Music included in Movavi programs is licensed and can be used in videos.
However, automated systems may still issue claims by mistake.
What you can do (recommended)
Step 1: Contest the content ID claim
You can safely dispute the claim through YouTube.
  1. Open the copyright claim details in YouTube Studio
  2. Start the dispute process
  3. Follow YouTube’s official instructions
  4. In your explanation, state that:
  • the music is licensed
  • it was provided as part of Movavi software
  • the tracks are licensed via Jamendo
Step 2: Reference the music license information
You can include a link to Movavi’s content license information if needed:

This page explains how music and other assets included in Movavi software can be used.

How to reduce future claims
Movavi has a licensing agreement with Jamendo.
When uploading new videos, add the keyword: Movavi

to one of the following:
  • video description
  • tags
  • title

This helps Content ID systems correctly identify licensed music and reduces the chance of new claims.
⚠️ This method applies to new uploads. It may not affect videos that were uploaded before adding the keyword.

Important notes
  • Content ID claims are automated and can be incorrect.
  • Contesting a claim does not negatively affect your channel.
  • This issue is related to third-party platform checks, not to Movavi licensing.
