Some Movavi installers and applications require Rosetta 2 to run correctly on Apple Silicon Macs (M-series processors).

Rosetta 2 is a compatibility layer provided by Apple that allows apps built for Intel processors to run on Apple silicon Macs. If you're using an Intel-based Mac, you do not need Rosetta 2.
On some macOS versions, Rosetta 2 may not be installed by default.

If Rosetta is missing, the program may:

• fail to install
• crash when applying AI features like Automatic subtitles
• show an error message or Apple Crash Report during working with the application

When Rosetta 2 is required
You may need to install Rosetta 2 if all of the following apply:

• you are using an Apple Silicon Mac (M-series processor)
• the Movavi installer does not start or crashes
• the program closes immediately after launch

If none of these apply, Rosetta 2 is not required.

How to install Rosetta 2

Rosetta 2 can only be installed directly from Apple servers.

Step 1: Open Terminal

Step 3: Confirm installation

Wait until you see the message:
Install of Rosetta 2 finished successfully

Once the installation is complete, close Terminal.

Step 4: Launch the program again

Try running the Movavi installer or program again.

When to contact Movavi Customer Service

Contact Movavi Customer Service if Rosetta 2 installs successfully but the issue persists.

Include:

• your macOS version
• a screenshot of the error message or the saved Apple crash report file (.rtf or .txt)
• what happened before the issue occurred
