Reinstall Movavi on Windows
If Movavi doesn’t work correctly or behaves unexpectedly, a clean reinstallation often resolves the issue.

Follow the steps below to fully remove the program and reinstall it.
Step 1: Uninstall Movavi
  1. Open Control Panel → Programs and Features
  2. Find the Movavi program in the list
  3. Select it and click Delete
4. Complete the uninstallation process
Step 2: Reset Movavi settings (recommended)
To remove leftover activation or configuration data, use the official Movavi cleanup file.
  1. Download the cleanup file: https://cdn.movavi.com/dl/support/CLEAR_REGISTRY.reg
  2. Double-click the downloaded file
  3. If Windows asks for permission to make changes, click Yes
Note
This file removes only Movavi-related registry entries. It does not affect your personal data or other programs.
Step 3: Temporarily disable security software
Before reinstalling:
  • temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall, if possible.

This helps prevent security software from blocking installation or activation files.
You can enable them again after installation is complete.
Step 4: Download and reinstall Movavi
  1. Download the installer:
  • from your Movavi account or
  • using the download link from your purchase email
2. Run the installer and complete the installation
3. Activate the program using your activation key
Step 5: Check the program
Launch Movavi and check if the issue has been resolved.
If the problem no longer appears, you can re-enable your antivirus and firewall.
Important notes
  • These steps apply to Windows only.
  • You may need administrator rights to complete these steps successfully.
  • On corporate or restricted PCs, security policies may still affect activation.

  • the issue persists after a clean reinstallation
