Activate an Effects pack

The way effects packs are installed and activated depends on the version of Movavi Video Editor you are using.

Use the section below that matches your program version.

Movavi Video Editor 21 and newer

In newer versions, effects packs are activated and downloaded directly inside the program.
How to activate an Effects pack

Open Movavi Video Editor
Go to the Effects section and open the Packs tab
Use the search bar to find the pack by name
Right-click the pack preview and select Activate
Enter or paste your activation key

Once the pack is activated:

its content becomes available immediately
individual effects are downloaded automatically when you start using them

Movavi Video Editor 20 and earlier

How to install and use a single Effects pack

Download the effects pack from the download link provided in your purchase email.

In older versions, effects packs are installed manually using a downloaded file.

Install the pack

Open the downloaded .mpack file or drag and drop it in the Movavi program and follow the installation instructions.

Activate the effects

Copy and paste the activation key into the Activating Package dialog box → click Activate.

Use the effects

The new elements will appear in the corresponding categories. These categories with new elements are marked with a yellow dot, and the elements are marked as NEW.

Important notes

Effects packs are activated inside the program, not during installation of the Video Editor.
For newer versions, large standalone downloads are no longer used.
Effects are not supported in App Store or Steam versions of Movavi products.
If effects remain locked after activation, check that the correct activation key was used.
If you buy a bundle like “Movavi Video Editor Plus”, “Movavi Slideshow Maker Plus” or “Movavi Video Suite Plus”, the packs that are included in that bundle do activate automatically.
