MOVAVI EFFECTS: LICENSE TYPES AND SUBSCRIPTION TERMS

Movavi Effects (transitions, titles, stickers, overlays, and other assets) are licensed separately from Movavi video editing software.
This article explains how Movavi Effects licenses work, what subscription options are available, and what happens when a subscription expires.

How Movavi Effects are licensed

Movavi Effects are available under two license models, depending on the product and offer:

Subscription-based licenses (most Effects packs)
Lifetime licenses (only for individual packs purchased as lifetime)

Your usage rights depend on the type of license you purchased.

Movavi Effects subscriptions

Subscription duration

Currently, Movavi Effects subscriptions are available for a fixed period:

1 month
1 year

The subscription period is always shown on the purchase page and in your order confirmation email.

Auto-renewal

If auto-renewal is enabled:

your subscription is automatically extended for the next billing period
your license key remains active
you can continue using all activated Effects without trial limitations

You can manage or cancel auto-renewal in your Movavi account.

What happens when a subscription expires

If the subscription expires or auto-renewal does not occur:

the Effects subscription key is automatically blocked
paid Effects revert to trial mode
a watermark is added during export
a warning message appears when exporting videos.

To regain full access to Movavi Effects, you’ll need to purchase a new Effects subscription.

Lifetime licenses for Effects

Some individual Effects packs are available as lifetime licenses.

If you purchased a lifetime license for a specific Effects pack:

you can continue using that pack without time limits
the license does not expire.

Lifetime licenses apply only to the specific Effects pack purchased and do not include access to subscription-based Effects.

Using Effects in projects

Paid Effects can be used only while the corresponding license is active.
If a subscription expires, projects that contain subscription-based Effects may show watermarks or export restrictions.
Free Effects included with Movavi Video Editor are not affected by Effects subscription status.

Account and license management

To manage your Effects licenses and subscriptions:

Create or sign in to your Movavi account
Use the same email address that you used for the purchase
Open My Purchases → Subscriptions to view:

active Effects subscriptions
expiration dates
auto-renewal status

Most subscription actions can be completed directly in your account without contacting Support.

Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel an Effects subscription at any time to stop future charges.
After cancellation, access remains available until the end of the current billing period.
Canceling a subscription does not automatically issue a refund.

Refunds are handled strictly in accordance with the Movavi Refund Policy.

Important notes

Movavi Effects subscriptions are separate from Movavi software licenses.
Effects licenses do not override the main software license type (personal or business).
Redistribution or sharing of Effects outside the license terms is not permitted.
In case of conflict, the Movavi Software End User License Agreement (EULA) prevails.
