WHY IS THERE A WATERMARK ON MY VIDEO?
A watermark appears when Movavi cannot confirm that all features used in your project are fully licensed or activated.
This can happen for a variety of reasons, even if you've already purchased and activated the program. The guide below will help you identify the cause and get things working again.

Start by choosing the situation that best matches what you see.

Case 1: the program is still in trial mode
If the software is not activated, exported videos will include a watermark.
If you use the free version, review its export limits separately. Activating the editor alone does not provide access to every paid effect, template, or Block.
How to fix it
If activation is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message.

- Open the Activation menu
- Enter or paste your activation key
- Click Activate and restart the program

Case 2: the editor is activated, but paid Effects or Templates are used
This is the most common reason for watermark confusion.
How this looks
- The program asks you to pay during export.
- You already activated the program.
- Some items in your project are marked with a crown icon.
Note: Effects include not only visual effects, but also transitions, titles, stickers, and audio tracks.

Why this happens
Paid items from Movavi Effects and Movavi Templates are licensed separately from the editor. A paid template or Block can still add a “Movavi Template” watermark to the exported video if your Templates subscription has ended, even when the editor is activated.
What you can do
You have two options:
Option 1: Remove paid effects
Option 2: Activate a Movavi Effects subscription
This unlocks the paid Effects used in your project.
If your project uses a paid template or Block, you need access to Movavi Templates or an offer that includes it. Buying the editor or subscribing to Movavi Effects does not automatically unlock the full Templates catalog. You can also replace the paid content before exporting.

If both licenses are registered to the same email:

- Open the Movavi program and start using the Effects right away.

How to activate Effects manually
Once one Effects pack is activated, the remaining Effects from the same subscription will activate automatically.
- Open the Movavi program
- Go to the Packs tab
- Right-click a pack → choose Activate
- Insert the corresponding activation key

Case 3: the program shows “Trial version” after activation (Windows only)
In some cases on Windows, the program may still show “Trial version” even after successful activation.
How to fix it
This allows the program to read the activation data correctly.

- Right-click the Movavi program icon
- Select Properties
- Open the Compatibility tab
- Enable Run this program as an administrator
- Apply the changes and restart the program
