Charged after canceling a trial subscription
If you were charged after canceling a trial subscription, it usually means that the cancellation was completed after the trial had already ended, or that a different subscription was still active.

Below are the most common reasons this can happen and how to check your situation.
First: how trial cancellation works
Movavi offers two different types of trials, and they work differently.
Program trial (no charges)
A program trial:
  • allows you to test the software with certain limitations
  • does not require payment details
  • does not convert into a paid subscription automatically

A program trial will not result in a charge.
Effects trial (may result in charges)
An Effects trial:
  • provides full access to Movavi Effects for a limited time
  • requires payment details
  • automatically converts into a paid subscription when the trial ends, unless canceled in advance

To avoid being charged, the Effects trial must be canceled before the trial end date.

Common reasons for a charge after cancellation
The trial was canceled after it ended
If the Effects trial period had already expired:
  • the trial was converted into a paid subscription
  • the charge was processed automatically

Canceling after that point:
  • stops future renewals
  • does not cancel the already started billing period

The trial was canceled very close to the end date
In some cases:
  • the cancellation was made shortly before the trial ended
  • the payment had already been authorized or processed

As a result, the charge may still appear.

A different subscription was still active
Movavi subscriptions are managed separately.
For example:
  • the program trial was canceled, but
  • an Effects trial or active Effects subscription remained

Canceling one subscription does not cancel others.

The subscription was purchased via App Store, Huawei AppGallery, or Google Play
If the trial was started through:
  • Apple App Store
  • Huawei AppGallery
  • Google Play
cancellation and billing are handled entirely by the app store.

Charges made by app stores cannot be canceled or refunded by Movavi.
How to check what was charged (self-service)
  1. Sign in to your Movavi account at https://movavi.id using the purchase email
  2. Open My purchases
  3. Check Programs and Effects → Subscriptions
  • Review which subscription is active or expired
  • the renewal or charge date

In most cases, this explains the charge.

How to stop future charges
To prevent further charges:
  • cancel the active subscription in your Movavi account
  • cancellation affects future renewals only
  • access remains available until the end of the current billing period

⚠️ Subscription status may take up to 24 hours to update after cancellation.
Refunds
Charges made after a trial ends are handled strictly according to the Movavi Refund Policy.

Except as explicitly stated in the policy, subscription fees are non-refundable.
When to contact Movavi Customer Service
Contact Movavi Customer Service if:
  • you canceled the Effects trial before the end date and still see a charge 
  • you cannot identify which subscription was billed

  • the email address used for the purchase
  • the approximate date of cancellation
