FIX NVIDIA HARDWARE ACCELERATION ISSUE
Audio may go out of sync during playback in the program or only after conversion. These cases can have different causes, so follow the steps below in order.
Start here
Before changing any settings:
  • Check whether the audio and video are out of sync:
  • in the program preview
  • in another media player (for example, VLC)

This helps determine whether the issue occurs during conversion or already exists in the source file.

Case 1: The original video is in sync in the program preview
If the audio and video are synchronized in the preview but become out of sync after conversion, the issue is usually related to encoding or hardware acceleration.
Step 1: Disable hardware acceleration
On Windows

  • Open Settings → Preferences → Acceleration
  • Disable Intel and/or NVIDIA hardware acceleration (if enabled)
  • Apply changes and restart the program

On macOS

  • Open Settings → Preferences → Acceleration
  • Disable SuperSpeed
  • Restart the program

Step 2: Change output format or codecs

If disabling acceleration does not help:
  1. Open the export or conversion settings
  2. Click the cogwheel icon to access advanced settings
  3. Select a different:

  • video codec
and/or
  • audio codec

  1. Apply changes and convert the file again
  2. Check audio/video sync in the resulting file

If desync persists after these steps, continue below.

Case 2: The original video is already out of sync in the program preview

If audio and video are desynchronized before conversion, the issue is usually related to system performance or source file processing.

What you can do

On Windows
  • Update your graphics and audio drivers using the manufacturer’s website.
  • Restart the computer after updating.

On macOS
  • Close unnecessary applications running in the background.
  • Make sure sufficient system resources are available during conversion.
.

Additional notes

  • High-resolution or heavily compressed files may be more sensitive to system performance.
  • Hardware acceleration can improve speed but may cause sync issues on some systems.
  • Testing with acceleration disabled is a recommended diagnostic step.
