If a converted or exported video has no sound, or doesn’t play correctly, the issue is usually related to the audio format used in the file or how your system plays it back.
Follow the steps below in order.
- Open the Output format or Export settings.
- Open the Audio tab.
- Select MP3 as the audio codec.
- Apply the changes.
- Export or convert the video again.
- Check playback of the new file.
In many cases, you can resolve the issue by changing the audio codec used in the output file.
MP3 is widely supported and works reliably on most systems and devices.
If the issue appears only in one media player
Start here: Change the audio codec during export
Optional: Install additional system codecs (advanced)
