Program switched back to trial after activation
If the program was activated successfully but shows “You have a trial version” after restart, it may not be able to access the activation data on your system.

This can happen more often on corporate or restricted Windows computers.
Most common causes
The program may switch back to trial mode if:
  • the computer is managed by an organization (corporate PC)
  • you don’t have full administrator rights
  • security software (firewall or antivirus) blocks access to activation data
  • network restrictions prevent proper license verification.
The activation itself is usually successful, but the program cannot read or store the activation information correctly.
How to fix the issue (Windows)
Step 1: Run the program as administrator
  1. Close the Movavi program
  2. Right-click the program icon
  3. Select Properties
4. Open the Compatibility tab.
5. Enable Run this program as an administrator.
6. Click Apply, then OK.
7. Launch the program again.

This often resolves the issue.
Step 2: Check security restrictions (if the issue persists)
If the problem continues:
  • make sure the program is not blocked by your firewall or antivirus
  • ensure the computer has an active internet connection
  • if you’re using a corporate device, contact your system administrator and ask them to allow the program to run with sufficient permissions.
Alternative solution for corporate PCs: offline activation
On some corporate Windows computers, online activation is blocked completely by security or network policies.
In this case, you can:
Step 1: activate the program offline via email.
👉 Follow the step-by-step guide here: Offline Activation on Windows

Offline activation does not require direct internet access on the computer where Movavi is installed and is often the recommended solution for corporate environments.

If that doesn't help, try following step 2 as well.

Step 2: Launch Wiper as an Administrator
1. Run the ActivationWiper
  • Log in to an administrator account.
  • Right-click the Video Editor icon and select Open file location.
  • In the folder that opens, find ActivationWiper.exe.
  • Right-click ActivationWiper.exe and select Run as administrator.
  • Wait for the process to complete

ImportantAfter running ActivationWiper, you won’t see any notifications or confirmation messages. This is normal and expected.

2. Log in as a user and activate the program
  1. Log out of the administrator account.
  2. Log in to your user account.
  3. Activate the program again using the license key.
Important notes
  • This issue applies only to Windows.
  • Corporate security policies may prevent standard activation from working correctly.
  • Offline activation is a valid and supported workaround in restricted environments.
