Step 1: Disable hardware acceleration- Open the program settings
- Go to Preferences → Acceleration
- Disable all enabled acceleration options
- Restart the program
- Try exporting the project again
If export succeeds, the issue is likely related to the GPU encoding.
Step 2: Check graphics driversOutdated or unstable drivers may cause the encoder to stop.
If the issue started after a recent driver update, try exporting the video with hardware acceleration disabled.
Step 3: Check free disk spaceMake sure the drive you're exporting to has enough free space.
If possible:
- try changing the output location to another drive if available
- choose a different output folder (for example, make a folder in root of C:/ drive and save the video here)
Step 4: Check GPU selection (if applicable)If your system has two graphics cards (integrated + dedicated):
- try exporting with the integrated GPU
- or disable acceleration and export using CPU
Please note that performance may sometimes be unstable due to driver issues or the way your system allows the program to
use your graphics.
Step 5: Verify source filesAll files used in the project must still be available.
Check that:
- source files were not moved or deleted
- external or network drives are connected
- removable storage used for the project is still accessible
If a source file is missing, export will fail.
Step 6: Verify encoder configurationIf export fails for a specific format:
- try exporting to a different format
- restarting the program and repeating export
This often resolves the issue.
Step 7: Reduce resources required for exportIf the project is large or complex:
- try exporting using Draft / low quality
- test exporting only a short fragment
- export the project in parts
- lower the resolution and bitrate in Advanced settings in the Export window
This helps identify resource-related limitations.
